After undergoing a major renovation, the AMNH opened its new wing, the Richard Gilder Center, on May 4th. The museum’s stunning architecture, includes a butterfly vivarium, an insect vivarium and immersive experiences. The cavernous architecture was created by Studio Gang who studied canyons and caves to influence their design.
